REQUIREMENTS:
1. A light shield of suitable dull opaque material or opaque aluminum shall be applied to the inner surface in such manner as to render it capable of withstanding five hours continuous operation, installed on the intended lighting fixture, with an industry number 1047 lamp burning. Slightly raised lines may be molded on the glass to facilitate the application of shielding: Masking to be applied before the diffusing enamel is applied.
2. The manufacturer's trademark and the MS part number shall be marked on the cover. The markings shall be in such a location that they do not interfere with the light distribution.
3. All covers furnished under this specification sheet shall be class B - heat resistant glass in accordance with MIL-DTL-7989, and conform to grade B transmission and brightness limits in accordance with SAE AS25050.
