COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
HEADLIGHT-INFRARED, DOUBLE FILAMENT,
24 VOLT, WATERPROOF
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description (CID) for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This CID covers a 24 volt (V), waterproof, double filament, infrared headlight used in military vehicles.
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
2.1 Materials. Unless otherwise specified herein, materials shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s material specifications for headlight. The use of recovered materials made in compliance with regulatory requirements is acceptable provided all the requirements of this CID are met (see 3.1).
2.1.1 Metals. Metals shall be of corrosion resistance type or shall be treated to resist corrosion.
